Attended Boston Latin School. Graduated in 1955. Thereafter attended Northeastern University. Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1963. Thereafter was awarded a Ph.D. in Water Resource System Planning from Cornell University 1969 and received a Juris Doctorate Law Degree at George Washington University in 1979.

Training

Graduated from George Washington University with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1979. Thereafter became a member of the Virginia Bar in 1979 and a member of the Delaware Bar in 2001. He has been a member in good standing of both Bars continuously during his career.

Experience

Years 1971 through 1999, held a series of positions in the office of research and development in the Environmental Protection Agency beginning his career as a research engineer and advancing to the position of office director.

Year 2001 through 2002, served as an Assistant Alderman Judge in the Alderman’s Court in the Town of Dewey Beach, Delaware.

Years 2002 through present, served as a volunteer lawyer for the Delaware office of Child Advocate and the Family Court.

Years 2002 through 2005, served as Commissioner for the Town of Dewey Beach, Delaware.

Years 2005 through 2006, served as Mayor and Commissioner for the Town of Dewey Beach, Delaware.

January 2007 through present, served as part-time staff member in Sussex County, Delaware Family YMCA wellness center directing circuit training classes for senior members.
